WA, SS 74, Millegrazie

In January 1974 he presented the WA collection for SS 1974, named “Millegrazie”,
at the Salone Margherita in Rome, during the Haute Couture Fashion shows.
Still inspired by the 1930’s and 1940’s years,
the clothes were all given the name of a perfume.
This collection is famous for the Murrine (millefiori) fabric and the printed silk,
cashmere motifs with polka dots, stripes and checks.

His timing in the choice of motifs was outstanding; flowers in the right year for flowers,
tartan in the year for tartan, cashmere when the time was right…
And some of his cashmere motifs are still successful today.
