Trell, SS 77, "India"

In October 1976 he presented the Trell collection for SS 1977, known as the
“Indian Collection”, inspired by one of his trips. Instead of the usual
catwalk show he staged a happening without a predefined order
of exits for the models.

Uncut garments to drape around the body, fake knives with mirror blades worn at the waist,
(the handles were Rubinstein lipstick cases),
Indian fabrics, Rainbow cottons like saris,
leopard and bajadera prints, fabric strips wrapping the breasts,
tunics, ruffles and Balinese trousers.

In the east there are the smells, the colours,
the scents that you can not find anywhere else in the world.
India is an eternal passion.
I travelled all around it, and there I found colours, smells, roots, materials, fabrics and designs.
